Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between fine art paper and canvas?
All artwork from the Construction-Art collection is available on fine art paper or canvas. Fine art paper is perfect for framing both with or without matting. The canvas provides a gallery feel with a rich textured surface. Both options come rolled in a tube and ready to frame.
What is "Gallery Wrapping"?
Gallery wrapping is a method of stretching an artist’s canvas (painted or printed) so that the canvas and image wraps around the sides of the stretcher bars. The canvas can be hung as is or it can be inserted into various types of frames.
Do you offer custom framing?
We typically recommend that our clients have their artworks professionally framed locally because the additional cost of packaging and shipping can be extreme. For larger corporate collections we do offer picture framing, as shipping quantities of work via common carrier is more cost effective.
Do you do custom artwork?
Construction-Art provides customized and original works for our clients. We can either send our artist/photographer to gather site specific reference material for our artists, or our clients can send reference materials. Special conditions apply. Please call or email for details.
Does Construction-Art ship globally?
We ship our works globally. Our shipping is calculated for the United States. Shipping rates for differing countries are variable, so we price overseas shipping on a case-by-case basis. Please call or email for details.
How does art consulting work?
We meet with our clients both in-person and virtually. We review architectural, interior design and interior graphics plans. We then develop themes for the areas and project. We develop a plan of what areas may be best for art, then design a collection of works. We consider the placement, size, colors and the “story” being told. We can also design and plan for the appropriate picture framing and coordinate the installation.
